Moments make me happy. Here are some magic moments from a weekend escape to the South Downs with Becky and Jen last year.
- Jen telling Taxi Bill about her tractor license (Taxi Bill - what a legend!)
- Becky teaching us the country code (NO! You cannot pick the flowers!)
- Getting a hole in my brand spanking new OS map (just proves that we used it)
- Watching a small dog roll around in poo at the top of Firle Beacon (well, he was happy)
- Being followed across the South Downs Way by a pony (for a minute there I actually thought that he was going to follow us down)
- My finger going white (scary but don't worry, it's alright now)
- The pleasant half a mile stroll along the verge of the A27 (hmm)
- Jen referring to a massive hill as "upstairs" (yes Jen, that's right)
- The amazing parfait and 21 day aged local beef at The Ram Inn in Firle (AMAZING!)
- The self closing curtains (worth repeating over and over again)
- Me proclaiming "Delete the pairs!" during an exhilarating game of chase the ace (unfortunately I left a card in the pack so the game was flawed from the start)
- Skipping down the country lanes (happy, happy, joy, joy)
- Walking through the field full of spiders not once but TWICE (more nightmare than magic moment but a moment nonetheless)
- Becky and Jen being nonchalant on the bridge (posers!)
- Listening to Fleet Foxes in The Landsdown Arms on an iPad juke box whilst eating the most amazing pork and apple pie ever that there ever was! (The perfect end to a perfect weekend!)
